Rove Vindicated
Chief Presidential adviser Karl Rove was vindicated of disclosing the name of a covert CIA operative of which he has been accused by every MSM news outlet, every left-wing idealogue, and most of the Democrats in Congress. According to this story entitled, Rove Learned CIA Agent’s Name From Novak, it was Rove who learned the identity of the operative from reporters, not the other way around. Here is a portion:
“WASHINGTON (AP) - Chief presidential adviser Karl Rove testified to a grand jury that he talked with two journalists before they divulged the identity of an undercover CIA officer but that he originally learned about the operative from the news media and not government sources, according to a person briefed on the testimony.
The person, who works in the legal profession and spoke only on condition of anonymity because of grand jury secrecy, told The Associated Press that Rove testified last year that he remembers specifically being told by columnist Robert Novak that Valerie Plame, the wife of a harsh Iraq war critic, worked for the CIA.”
The Washington Post, and TheNew York Times, tell the same story, but in such a way one can hardly discern the facts. Their Stories are Rove Confirmed Plame Indirectly, Lawyer Says, and Rove Reportedly Held Phone Talk on C.I.A. Officer, respectively. Leon H. from Red State, comments on the terrible grammar used in the New York Times story in his commentary, Rove Learned Plame’s Identity From.. Novak?. This is part of what he said:
“The New York Times (with a Hat Tip to Drudge) is reporting in a story peppered with horribly ambiguous grammar that Karl Rove did in fact discuss Plame’s identity with Novak - however, the twist to this particular tale is that (apparently) Novak gave Plame’s name to Rove, not the other way around.
I use the word “apparently” because the story is so filled with misplaced modifiers and awkward mutilations of the English language that it’s difficult to determine what the heck the Times authors are intending to say. But, we shall give it the old College Try beneath the fold.”
And the Main Stream Media says bloggers are unprofessional.
The only explanation of course is that writers, David Johnston, and Richard W. Stevenson were choking at having to actually write a story repudiating the venom their paper has spewed all week against Rove, and were having a hard time putting it down on paper coherently.
It appears that Senator Chuck Schumer of New York who appeared in a press conference yesterday with former Ambassador Joe Wilson calling for Rove to be fired has made himself out to be the fool everyone already thought he was. Joe Wilson has finally proven that he is an accomplished liar for his role in this whole affair. Once again the President has held his ground and supported his trusted advisor against the onslaught of fury, and has been proven correct.
Finally the Democrats and Liberals once again have demonstrated for the people of America that they are the ones who are out of step with the public.
