Hurricane Katrina North Shore Disaster Fund Update #37

This is the thirty-seventh update for the Hurricane Katrina disaster relief fund for the Lake Pontchartrain North Shore. This includes the Covington, Abita Springs, Mandeville, and Slidell, Louisiana area.

The following is a video produced by the Evangelical Free Church Association in cooperation with Trinity Evangelical Free Church of Covington, LA., Compassion Ministries International, and Urban Impact Ministries.

To view the video you will need “Real Player”, which can be downloaded from here, (at the bottom of the page) for your operating system.

The ten minute video contains a powerful message about the ministry of Trinity Church to those impacted by hurricane Katrina.

The video is entitled, Katrina – Rebuilding The Gulf Coast.

The following two files can be viewed by those who have at least 256k high speed DSL internet access or higher.

Internet Explorer users, please click here.

Mozilla or Mozilla-Firefox users, please click here.

These two files are much better quality but to view them you must have 512k high speed DSL internet access speed or higher.

Internet Explorer users, please click here.

Mozilla or Mozilla-Firefox users, please click here.

If you would like to get your own person copy of the DVD, please click here to be taken to Trinity Church’s website, where you can order one.

It is going to take a considerable amount of time to rebuild the lives affected by Katrina. It will not be accomplished any time soon. Grace Team 2 returned home on Sunday, and we are planning now for Teams 3 and 4 which will make the trip in December and January respectively.

The ministry here will need ongoing funding, volunteers, and prayer to continue rebuilding. That kind of sustained help will need to continue for at least another eight to ten months. Only God can open your heart to the needs expressed in the video. If you are not impacted by watching this video, it is time for a heart check up, and I don’t mean a visit to your Doctor.

Please contribute to the combined efforts of this blog and Grace Community Chapel of St. Peters, MO, in raising money and volunteers for ministry teams to be sent to Trinity Evangelical Free Church in Covington, LA, to be distributed locally to the Lake Pontchartrain North Shore area, you will find detailed donation information by clicking here.

[...] As you can see, conditions have not changed much for most people living on the Gulf Coast since Trinity produced their first video which can be seen here. Their video was produced just about one month prior to this one. [...]
